We operate from the Great Lakes Airport See Map below, but briefing takes place at the Recreation Reserve.

We also operate from the Latrobe Regional Airport in  Latrobe Valley in Central Gippsland.

The Equipment

Tandem Skydiving equipment is somewhat larger than ordinary sport skydiving equipment. This enables the Tandem Master to carry the Tandem student in a special harness attached at the front. All Tandem equipment is fitted with automatic activation devices to enhance their safety under the rules of the Australian Parachute Federation.  Aerial skydives restricts the weight of our Tandem Students to 100kg.

Out of this World

Having been given a thorough briefing in all aspects of the skydive from boarding the aircraft to flight under canopy and landing you will then be ready to experience freefall flight at 200km per hour fully secured to your qualified Tandem Master who is responsible for the deployment of the high performance parachute. Once open though the fun continues as you will be able to assist in flying the parachute back to the landing area. Throughout the flight under canopy you will be able to chat with your Tandem Master as he guides you while you pilot the parachute. The Tandem Master will take over the controls for landing.

The Team

Janine Hayes the Chief Instructor and Ken Hills one of the Tandem Masters are a husband and wife team, highly qualified in the field of Instruction and Sport Skydiving. Both have represented Australia Internationally not only winning medals in World & International competitions but also receiving the 2000 Australian Sports Medal for their contribution to Skydiving in Australia.

Safety

Aerial Skydives prides itself on its safety record and maintains all equipment to the highest standards. As a member of the Australian Parachute Federation, Aerial Skydives is audited annually to assure compliance with all operational regulations. Although every precaution is taken to safeguard the participant our Tandem Skydive involves a certain amount of risk & participants are required to sign an Indemnity waiver.
