Mingling Waters - Backyard

Mingling Waters has many varied activities to offer even the keenest of adventurers. The boat ramp and jetty facilities cater to those of us who enjoy fishing - enabling the anglers amongst us, access to the likes of flathead, bream, tailor, mullet and garfish, in the 25 kilometres of waterways that is easily accessible.

All this can be found here in our backyard which consists of 7 acres of old growth Eucalyptus on the Lake.

Or maybe you are more inclined to sit back and take time to relax and enjoy the stunning local scenery. With tables and chairs along the waterfront, there is ample opportunity to lie back and listen to the beautiful wildlife found here at Mingling Waters.

There is an abundance of wildlife and birds in the area, and the walking tracks to The Gorge and Wetlands allow for frequent and varied viewing. The children have access to playgrounds, or the Tennis Court might be more actively appealing.

Watch the children swim as you while away the hours of peace and tranquillity on the shore of Lake Tyers.

Sea Eagle

You might even be lucky enough to see the Helliaeetus Leucogaster (White breasted Sea Eagle) fishing in our backyard, which opens onto the beauteous Lake Tyres.

Nearby can be found the Rail Trail, which is a fantastic Track for either walking or cycling, taking in more of the surrounding beauty, including the Historic Trestle Bridge.

The Nowa Nowa Gorge is a 350 million year old Devonian rock formation. There is a walking track that leads from the Mingling Waters to the Gorge lookout.

On the way, your group can fossick for your own gemstones in the safe waters of Boggy Creek. Jasper, Iron Ore, Quartz Crystal are but a few of the stones that you may find.
