Unforgettable !!

Snuggled into the hillside in secluded Gay Street, The Goat and Goose gazes over the ever-changing seascape of Bass Strait.  The extraordinary owner-built pole-frame home stands as Joy and Richard's statement to the world.  This unusual multi-storey pole frame home has balconies at every turn to take full advantage of the ocean views.

The Goat and Goose Bed and Breakfast

Built on five levels, there are surprising nooks and secret places to discover. The unusual design and the use of recyled materials gives The Goat and Goose a different quality.

Every area has its own story to tell.  Because of the individual areas of the home, we are able to offer both privacy or interaction with your hosts or other guests.

The atmosphere is always relaxed with friendly and welcoming service.  Leave the hustle behind and enjoy a totally carefree holiday.

The Country Breakfast
The sea air does magical things to the appetite. With this in mind we offer a sumptious breakfast menu which will satisfy even the heartiest of breakfast lovers. From freshly baked scones with local preserves to a seaside breakfast banquet served in the dining area or on the balcony, both overlooking the beautiful shoreline.
Feasts of local seafood are a speciality
If you like your seafood fresh and plenty of it, then the Seafood Banquet offered at the Goat and Goose during the prawn season is a must. Scrumptious seafood chowder or Cajun chilli crabs, platters of freshly cooked prawns and slipper lobsters are all served in a relaxed casual atmosphere on the balcony.
No matter during what season you visit Lakes Entrance, you will be stunned by the fresh sea air and the awesome beauty of the seascape.

We are a 3.5 hour drive (315 km) east of Melbourne – 4.5 hours south of Canberra and 9 hours south of Sydney – on the scenic Coastal Route.  Lakes Entrance is an ideal spot to pause for a few days to discover this remarkable Lakes and Wilderness region between Melbourne and Sydney.
